Fiat 500 lost car keys replaced in Gosport PO13 – emergency callout.
We received a call from a family who lost their Fiat 500 keys whilst doing a tip run – throwing the keys in with the rubbish. The tip attendants were unwilling to look for them and hence, Master Auto Locksmith attended to provide new, replacement keys.
Genuine Fiat 500 car keys were provided for a customer whom had lost their car keys in Gosport, Hampshire, PO13.
The Fiat 500 was unlocked but the door lock needed to be picked in order to decode the lock to learn the key code.
Fiat 500s use a SIP22 key blade and lock profile. A SIP22 lock pick was used to pick the door lock open and read the key code. A key was blade was cut to match the key code. This worked on the second cut attempt, the first one only working in the ignition. Adjustments to the cut profile solved the issue with the key not working the door lock. The final key cut worked in both the door and the ignition.
With the ignition on, the immobiliser pin was attained via the OBD port. Specialised and security registered equipment is used to do this. A genuine Fiat remote was prepared, and the key blade was fitted.
The key was programmed to the vehicle using the immobiliser pin code. The key worked in the door lock and ignition, operated the central locking and started the vehicle.
